Criminal law isn't for the faint of heart - you have to be aggressive, competitive, goal-driven and tough. Our firm, even by that standard, isn't like others. We take to trial many more cases than most other criminal-defense firms would. A lot of that has to do with the types of clients we attract - they often have their backs against the wall, and a lot at stake. They view us as their last and best shot at justice.

Of course, in criminal law it's very difficult to predict any verdict. There's no such thing as a slam-dunk criminal defense case. There's a natural antagonism against those accused of a crime, and we stand with our clients.

Norm and I have teamed up on various cases, including a white-collar bid-rigging case against an attorney-defendant and a capital murder prosecution.
