Hispanics of The Law - Teaneck, NJ

There are more than 70,000 lawyers in New Jersey today, so a person has a lot of options when he or she is looking for a lawyer. So the first thing I tell my clients is, “Thank you. I am honored and I feel privileged that you have selected me to represent you.” I want my clients to know that, because that really is important to me.

There are a lot of lawyers today motivated only by money, who don’t care much about their clients. I’m very sensitive to that perception about lawyers – I have always cared about my clients and the cases I prepare for them. I always want my clients to know: Your case is about you – and securing what you are entitled to.

Trial law is not getting any easier – insurance companies are constantly tightening their belts, trying to deny legitimate claims. They are forcing us to file more law suits, and take more cases to trial. We must work harder, and prepare better. And we do. We always will try to settle a case – but we are always ready to go before a jury with any case for our clients.

I recently represented an accident victim whose insurance company wanted to pay him nothing – nothing. And we had to prepare a case, and fight. And fight we did. The settlement came to $180,000. Those are the kinds of results that make our work so gratifying.

In the communities of Hudson County and throughout New Jersey and New York, I understand how juries think. I grew up there, and I know their values, their sense of fairness. They are very open-minded. That’s one of the reasons it’s always a privilege to appear before a jury.

The partners of our firm – Samuel Davis, Marc Saperstein, and Garry Salomon – have had a great influence on me and my career. They’ve been mentors to me – you can’t ask for colleagues better than that.

Our firm really is a powerhouse in representing ordinary citizens in New Jersey and New York – whatever community you live in. We work to secure the best results possible for our clients. We are proud of our role of representing dignified people who deserve compensation for their injuries.
