Plastic Surgery - Rockville Centre, NY

One thing that I've always appreciated about our work is how we can really transform people's lives. There's no doubt about that. But we must also be realistic - I am more and more concerned about the hype that all of us see today, all the pitchmen, with some doctors behaving like salesmen. The "One-Minute Facelift" stuff you see on cable television these days is really a problem. And such claims are much, much more prevalent than when I started.

So to some extent, in our first conversation, I try to set people back to reality. Expectations are very, very important. We really can help in transforming people's lives. And that's very gratifying. But if someone is 70, no physician is going to make that person look 20 - no matter what claims you may hear. It's irresponsible to suggest otherwise.

I take a lot of pride in teaching plastic-surgery residents at Cornell Medical Center today - there is a lot to know, a broad and diverse spectrum of procedures. Throughout my career I've made it a point to teach the latest techniques - and employ them for my patients as well.

Our practice really is unique. For one thing, we are a stable practice, and we're driven to do the best we can, every day.

My practice involves cosmetic and reconstructive breast surgeries, as well as Rhinoplasties, facial rejuvenation, body contouring, cosmetic ancillary procedures such as facial fillers, Botox and laser resurfacing, and surgeries of the hand. These procedures - even now - remain popular, because they are so important to improving and transforming our patients' lives. I also have extensive experience with post-bariatric weight-loss patients.

I don't think it's very complicated. We all truly love what we do at KH Plastic Surgery. Our patients know that. Our success is defined by the results our patients see and experience. That's been my approach from the very beginning.
