Sharp, tenacious and widely respected, Bruce Atkins is today one of the leading employment attorneys in the state and region. After years as the senior litigation partner of Contant, Atkins & Fede and its predecessor firms, Atkins teamed up in early 2006 with Neil Deutsch to create Deutsch Atkins P.C. of Hackensack, N.J., which immediately was recognized as one of the leading employment firms in the region.
Atkins has a long record of successes in employment law. In a four-year case that concluded in 2000, he was widely acclaimed for winning a major discrimination case involving a major national real estate firm. The jury awarded Atkins' client $1.5 million in compensatory damages, $5 million in punitive damages and $638,000 in attorneys fees. It was one of the largest plaintiff's awards in the state.
Today Atkins handles scores of employment cases annually, mostly representing high-end employees and upper-management professionals in wrongful discharge and discrimination cases.
Atkins' clients aren't the only ones impressed with his skills. He received the highest possible rating of AV from his colleagues for legal ability and ethics through the Martindale Hubbell Peer Review ratings service. He has also been selected by "Super Lawyers" as a member of the top 5% of New Jersey Lawyers every year since 2005.
Atkins lives with his family in Woodcliff Lake, New Jersey.
